Use a lining tool to create a bold, permanent wing outline of your rough sketch. Continue adding feathers, making sure to vary their size and shape to create a natural, organic look. These should be slightly pointed at the tips and increase in size as you move down the wings. Start at the top of the wings and draw small, slightly curved lines that form the individual feathers. Once you have the basic shape of the wings, it's time to add the feathers. Your angel wing sketch shape should resemble a slightly elongated teardrop with curved tops and a pointed bottom. Then, draw a long line connecting from the side of the oval curve toward the outer edge of the triangle. Start drawing two curved lines, close to the vertical line, from the oval toward the triangle that will form the inside of the wings. You can also use assisted symmetry with Procreate drawing guides to illustrate a mirrored angel wing. Pair with a white dress and you’re good to go. Here are the ones I made from poster board and feathers (this was faster than the foam board with Christmas garland, but I don’t expect them to hold up year after year.)
